Angie Gago is a PhD Student in Political Studies in the University of Milan. Her research project is about “The politics of pension reform during the Great Recession: Southern European trade unions facing EU conditionality”. She also holds a Master’s in Politics and Democracy (UNED, Spain), a Master’s in International Relations (London Metropolitan University) and a Journalism Degree (University of Seville, Spain). Her research interests are comparative Welfare State, Welfare politics, trade unions, Southern Europe, European politics and austerity politics. She usually writes on political blogs (Agenda Pública, EUROPP) about these topics.
