Francesco Costamagna is Associate Professor of European Union law at the Law Department of the University of Turin. Moreover, he is lecturer of European Union Law School of Business Administration (University of Turin). He has been visiting scholar at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (University of Dundee).
He holds a Ph.D. in International Economic Law at the “L. Bocconi” University of Milan (Italy). and a Master's Degree in Management of Development (ILO Training Centre and University of Turin).
His main research interests touch upon on the relationship between the economic dimension and the social one within the European integration process. In particular, he focuses intra-EU mobility, access to social benefits and the troubled emergence of transnational solidarity within the EU legal order.
He is the author of a book on the impact of EU internal market law on the organization and provision of social and health services, as well as of articles and book chapters, both in English and Italian, on this and related topics.
